The 41st Indian Geographers Meet 2019 & the Annual Conference of the IIG will be hosted by the School of Studies in Geography and will be held at Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur, Chhattisgarh from 21st to 23rd November 2019. The focal theme of the conference is Building a Disaster Resilient Society: Methods and Approaches which aims to focus on the question of distribution and resultant inequalities across geographical regions, sections of society and sectors of economy. The conference, however, shall be inclusive and provide an open platform to all scholars of geography and allied disciplines. Plenary lectures will have distinguished scholars speaking on themes of utmost importance. The focal theme of the conference is “Building a Disaster Resilient Society: Methods and Approaches” Disaster resilience is the ability of individuals, communities, organizations and states to adapt and recover from hazards, shocks and stresses without compromising long-term prospects for sustainable development. Developing disaster-resilient communities and societies requires accurate identification and analysis of the risks that the communities or societies are faced with and having all stakeholders from government to communities fully understands these risks. Controlling natural hazards is difficult, thus enhancing social capacity to cope with disasters is one of the most effective ways to manage, mitigate and reduce disaster risks. IIG poses this as the focal theme for 2019 meet.

Alternative System of Medicines

Entire alternative system of medicine including traditional, unani, siddha, chinese, ayurvedic, naturopathy, homeopathy, aromatherapy etc. Will be covered under this umbrella of alternative medicine.

Biological Science

Original research studies of all the streams of Biological sciences including bioinformatics, microbiology and evolutionary biology, environmental biology, cell biology, microbiology and allied fields.

Chemical Sciences

Chemical Sciences and associated all branches including nanoparticles, nanostructures and their mixtures, Nanochemical approaches like carbon nanomaterials, carbon nanotubes, Graphene and fullerenes, along with Nanophotonic materials will be field of focus under is theme

Drug Discovery and Delivery

Original research related to drug design, synthesis, screening, pharmacological and toxicological studies, preformulation and formulation studies , stimulate drug development and discovery, Ligand binding studies, Transport (simulation studies, Molecule mediating transport, smart Drug Delivery Systems etc.

Food Science and Nutraceuticals

Different fields of food science like nutrition, consumer science, food engineering, food economics, functional food, nutraceuticals, dietary supplements probiotics and prebiotics will be area of interest and priority

Health Science

The health sciences research encompasses it’s all core and associate branches viz. Medical science, Pharmaceutical science, Physiotherapy, biochemistry, disease diagnosis, Patho physiology, healthcare ,health information etc.

Herbal Technology

Theme herbal technology will include areas of plant based research encompassing Phytomedicine, nutraceuticals, biopesticides, cosmoceuticals, ethnobotanical study/ surveys, collection, conservation, authentication, standardization and figure printing of plants and plant based products.

Management in Health Science

It will cover areas like healthcare management, health policy, health informatics and e-health services, health law, organizational behavior in health institutions, patient rights, security and quality, clinical and medical services management etc.

Molecular biology

Original research contributions and scientific advances related to the field of Genetics, Cell Biology, Biological Molecules, immunology, cellular biology etc. broadly covers the domains of life, plants, animals, microorganism and human will be covered

Nanotechnology

Nanotechnology includes study and research in nanoscience and its application in science fields, such as chemistry, biology, physics, materials science, and engineering. It incorporates subfields like biomedical applications, tissue engineering, drug delivery, biosensors, quantum dots etc.

Pharmaceutical Chemistry

Findings in area of pharmaceutical chemistry including advances in biomedical analysis and its branches viz. bioanalytical chemistry, drug metabolism studies, analytical biotechnolgy, biochemical and clinical analysis will be acceptable.
